From 1 April 2026, the full-time working week for Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time staff’s hours will reduced on a pro-rata basis.

The list below provides the option to calculate entitlement based on either a 36 hour contract, a 37 hour contract or a 37.5 hour contract.  Care should be taken to choose the correct option.  Anyone looking to ascertain entitlement in the 2025-26 leave year should choose "My hours are based on a 37 hour contract".  But anyone looking to check entitlement for the 2026-27 leave year (i.e. from 1 April 2026 onwards) should choose "My hours are based on a 36 hour contract ".

The option to calculate based on 37 and 37.5 full-time hours will be left on the system for three months after 1 April 2026 to allow for any legacy calculations to be made.  Staff should therefore ensure that any calculations which need to be done based on these hours are complete by 1 July 2026.
